Title: ENTERPRISE ARCHITECH PROG MGR Location: CALIFORNIA-MONTEREY PARK Reporting to the SVP Chief Architect Manager, responsible for setting up Union Bank's Enterprise Architecture (EA) Program which will address the regulators requirements for responsible and comprehensive IT Governance and Management. Responsible for supervising staff in the development of UB's enterprise architecture program. Set up and manage the routines of a formal EA Program including Governance, Standards Management, Portfolio Planning, Technology Risk Management and Reporting. Responsible for the Innovation Function i.e. identify emerging trends, maintain relationships with vendors and external partners to evaluate and assess new technologies that may provide differentiating capabilities for Union Bank. Directly manage 3 to 4 UB staff. Major Responsibilities: * In conjunction with SVP Chief Architecture Manager, define the UB Enterprise Architecture Program, processes and metrics. * Responsible for managing 3-4 staff who manage and execute the Bank's Enterprise Architecture Program. Responsible for directly supervising staff, including interviewing, hiring staff and the termination of staff; recommending salary changes, job promotions; setting work hours, conducting counseling /performance reviews, and planning of the staff's work. * Accountable for documenting and seeking approval of the Union Bank EA Policy from various stakeholders, establishes cross linkages between EA Governance and Project Management, define Architecture Governance procedures, roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders interacting with the Architecture Governance processes. Manages Governance routines, publishes agenda and minutes. * Additionally, works with Solution Architects and Development teams to manage the Application Inventory. Publish EA Metrics to demonstrate the progress of the bank towards the target state and reduction of risk and cost. * Design and Implement EA Repositories that house architecture artifacts, standards, guidelines. Coordinate the refresh of the EA Standards and Policies * Facilitate the routines to maintain the Application Portfolio roadmap and report on progress on the roadmap. * Drives the adoption of industry Reference Models which frame the organizations processes, applications and technology. * Establishes the Innovation Function which enables Union Bank to identify, assess and evaluate emerging technology that will provide Union Bank differentiating capability. Coordinate workgroups of SME's to assess new technologies and present findings to technology and business stakeholders. Maintains vendor and partner relationships to identify new technology trends and evaluate benefit. Coordinate knowledge sharing sessions between vendors and the bank. * Accountable for presenting the Architecture Engagement Review and Issue Review reports and presentations to Sr. IT Management. This includes establishing and coordinating programs and achieving program objectives by working across technology groups within Union Bank. Develop and relationships and maintain communications across multiple technology groups. * Responsible for coordinating Architecture Activities in support of planning and implementation of future Mergers and Acquisitions. Establish an architectural framework (policy, process, approvals) which will enable evaluation of technology, functions and processes between the merging entities. * 15 years of experience in the domains of business, data, integration, infrastructure and security and application architecture. * Must have produced architecture designs for enterprise solutions. * Team management skills and ability to manage a diverse workforce and partners. * Leadership skills including effective delegation, conflict resolution, negotiation and ability to influence diverse set of stakeholders. * Communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. * Has work experience in set up of Enterprise Architecture Program setup and management in other financial institutions or industry segments. * Highly motivated individual who can drive an enterprise program with minimal supervision.
